Indoor barn owl nest boxes are best sited in a quiet building which is least used in order not to disturb any breeding barn owls.  The nest boxes need to be erected at least 3m above the ground. Indoor boxes are ideal as they offer shelter from the weather and any young barn owls can practice their flight in dry conditions. The dimensions of the box are 600mm x 600mm x 450mm.
